alright guys, I dont even know where to start with this. i basicly replaced everything on the car but i know this "clicking" noise is coming from the front end. It happens when i get on the throttle or let off hard. it almost sounds like somethings loose i wanna say? and im almost certain it has something to do with the drivetrain/suspension.
I did a 5 lug swap on my 2.0l with 11.3" brakes, replaced the subframe because it was basicly rotted out, rebuilt my transmission (it shifts good so i dont think the tranny is the problem) made some franken axles to make the 5 lug possible, all the bushings are brand new in the front from top to bottom, ball joints, tie rods, etc. and put coilovers in with new mounts.
but the wheel bearings i have to replace yet (i threw some cheap ones in to make the car driveable) and im pretty sure my rack and pinion is shot.
i mean for all i know it could just be that one of the motor mounts r loose? some input on possible causes would be appreicated. the motor mounts r bfi stage .5's.

Did you also have strange steering issues? Like pulling in one direction when you accelerate at speed, and diving the other direction when you let off the gas?

I think I'm in the same boat as you were. Clunking, strange steering behavior (thought maybe steering rack), and I had also replaced every bushing, bearing, and ball-joint.

I'm glad I read this thread. Will check my subframe tomorrow.
Today I changed the carpet and fixed some electrical issues.

yea it pulls pretty hard when i get on it. but i think its a combination of my effed up alignment, wheel bearings, and effed steering rack. just ordered some new wheel bearings and h&r camber bolts from bfi. not gonna worry bout the rack for a while being that both inner and outter tie rod ends on both sides r new.
i did the control arm bushing about a year ago and they r still pretty fresh but im thinkin of ordering the control arms from bfi with the poly inserts and tt bushings. any feedback on those bushings paired together ride comfort wise?
ill get the alignment done after i do the bearings and lower it a bit more

If your bushings are that new, then don't bother. Not worth the cost unless you need them done. The stock replacements are fine. Especially for a daily 2.0.

I've got the r32 bushings and so far I like them better than OEM ones.

better as in?.. do you have them paired with the poly front inserts?

I have the R32 bushings and the OEM mk3 ones on the front.
R32 (round) bushings feel way better than OEM mk3 ones.
