WTB: Mk2 16V Scirocco

Been waiting for a rocco to come up in my area for a while... starting to get impatient.

Prefer 86-88 16V, decent drivable condition. Budget is $2.5k or less... depends on the car.

I live in middle Tennessee (Nashville area), but have family in southern Indiana, so anything within an hour or so of Nashville or between here and Indianapolis would be most realistic.

though i am selling mine, im on the west coast. and its a full resto, so 2.5k wont do it. but. since i keep my eyes out for cars to rebuild... here is a secret link. you just might find the rocc you are looking for. there's a few good ones just depends if you want to make the trip? when i got mine i had to drive 3k miles from Virginia to Cali. it was a blast!

Thanks for your suggestions. I found a couple on Jaxed so far already. I just don't quite have the time and budget to add in travel when looking, and I don't like having to commit to buy sight unseen and without a test drive before booking a flight. Bit too much of a leap of faith for a 25 year old car.

Just gotta keep looking!

PS, yours is a beautiful one! You should keep it! Do you have a build thread or did you buy it restored?

heres a slideshow i made. im in the process of creating a bunch of media to help promote sale of car. also created a 60 page photobook documenting the life of the car that will go along with it to new owner. im gonna guess whoever buys this car will want to take it to a few car shows.
