The Switchblade key chain loop came broken with my car.

I bought a used jetta and the loop is gone. I dont want to pay for a replacement key so i was thinking of buying this:

and then putting a whole in the silicon cover on the cover near the panic button.
do you think this can work?

There's an easy and popular solution for this problem, you can search for it on the forums. Very easy steps:
1) take a drill
2)Make something such as this

3) Profit???
