Just came to JSW-land myself. With pretty much the twin of yours, minus the M/T (we can only get the slushbox with the 2.5 and sunroof). It's the wife's, but I'm doing the break-in .

Nice. I think I saw your post on Dubberz. I'm always on the lookout for modded wagons when I drive around town.

what? a manual transmission is available for all engines on the SportWagen in the US. The 2.5 is mated with a 5spd manual, and the tdi and 2.0t work with a 6spd manual.

For 2012 and '13 the 2.0T is gone, leaving the 2.5 or TDI. If you want a new JSW with sunroof and a manual the only option is the TDI; no sunroof on the S and no manual on the SE.

the SEL hasn't been sold since 2009

That said, you made it sound like we never got a manual 2.5 wagon in the US, and we obviously did. I imagine that the limited options available for new cars now is a result of the factory winding down production so it can produce other newer cars.

apparently manuals can be ordered though: http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...-S-5MT-Ordered

    This.

I would have liked a manual, but the SE with roof that my wife wanted more is only auto. She didn't like the TDI either. Sounds like I needed to just leave her at the dealership .
