    1999.5 VW Jetta

Well I've decided to put my Jetta up for sale after fighting with it the past couple of months trying to get it to run. It's currently sitting at a friends house near by and hasn't been driving in 3 weeks. I originally took the car to a shop, they redid the MAF wiring and the car was running roughly. After the tune up (plugs, wires, oil change) it ran better but then died and hasn't restarted since. After the time of the tune up I also replaced an 18" section of exhaust piping between the cat and axle bend with a new piece of pipe.

    1999.5 Jetta - 224k miles
2.0L AEG engine - drive by cable
Gasket match ported head w/ less than 20k on it, stock cam/valves etc.
True 3" race version CAI with brand new cone filter
Stage 3 ported intake manifold from Scientific Rabbit
Hybrid oil pan, steel bottom for when it was lowered
Timing belt, metal waterpump, tensioner, head gasket kit, cam potion sensor all replaced less than 20k ago
Brand new MAF and MAF wiring repaired within the month
Brand new Crank position sensor within 2 weeks
Fresh plugs, wires and oil change within the month

Car comes with a brand new set of piston rings as they could use to be replaced.
I also have a set of rifle drilled oil port rods and a spare ECU that I never tested.
    Full manual included as well.

Exhaust is stock header, universal replacement cat, no resonator and a Dynomax muffler (I believe, from Advanced Auto)

5-speed transmission - smooth, no grinds ever
    New trans fluid last summer

Tan interior in good shape, needs a deep cleaning right now but comes clean

Wheels 16" Sport Edition wheels, not sure on width or offset
205/45/16 snow tires on them - probably 1-2 more winters on them depending on mileage
Wheels have paint peeling and light salt damage as they're my winter wheels

    Exterior
The car is in decent shape for the age and mileage. There is a few spots of surface rust on the car but nothing structural. All could easily be cleaned up with a wire brush. Most of these spots can be seen in the pics. There is one on the drivers side of the roof and one behind the license plate.

So right now I'd like to sell the car whole as it sits complete. I have a clean title in hand. Obviously the car will need to be towed home.

Asking price: $1400 or best reasonable offer!
I know it's a little high but it could be an easy fix or has a ton of good parts if parted out.
I really don't want to take the time to part it out right now.

Here are a few pictures I have for now. They are from last summer when it was on coilovers. Now it sits on the stock suspension.

    When it was on RCs

I can take and send new pics of the car as it sit currently to anybody interested. I will hopefully have some soon and post them up.

Price drop to $1400 or best!!

Please someone make me a decent offer and take this away.

If it doesn't sell soon I'll part it out and have to scrap whatever is left.
