Selling this Beetle for my Mom. Clean, clear Ohio title is in her name. Model year plates ('67 plates) are not included in the sale.
Bought this back in 1999 out of New Castle, PA. Only put 3,500 miles on it since then. Which is the reason for selling... it doesn't get driven much. Odometer shows 77,256 actual miles.
It's a pretty nice unmolested '67. I'm not a Beetle guy but from what I can tell all the '67 Only parts seem to be there. Engine locked up about a year after it was purchased. Had a 1641 dual port built for it on an "H" case. Still has all the '67 specific tin. Engine was not built to OG specs. It's a dual port, 100 cam, 009 dist, new 34 single carb. Always been a good runner.
Since purchase it's had all new hard lines, flex lines, master and wheel cylinders and brakes done.
Sunroof works great and does not leak.
It's had a repaint. From the looks of it a very long time ago. Pass side door was repainted more recently. We've never tried to buff out the paint or anything, so it might come back up if buffed/cut... or clear coat it or dip it in linseed oil or what ever the cool kids are doing these days.
It's got some rust, see the pix for a better idea. Lower rear quarters have rust. A few other spots on the body too which are in the pix. Front apron was rusted out and it looks like a PO fiber glassed it over.... again, all of this is in the additional pix.
Battery tray has been replaced, 3/4 of the driver's side pan was replaced along with the rocker.
Inside of the fenders and bumper brackets are all solid. Rust really isn't as bad as you'd expect for a car from around here.
Interior isn't too bad. Has a repo floor mat, rocker carpet is pretty wasted, front carpet is ok. Door panels are all real nice. Driver's side seat corner is worn as is the top of rear seat. Headliner has some small holes. Everything is in the additional pix.
This is a running driving Beetle. No need to trailer it home, other than for peace of mind. Tires are old, but have service left. All the electrical works, even the horn, with the exception of the plate light, dome light and the 4 ways.
