white gunk on your oil cap?
that is normal..it's from condensation in your engine, perfectly normal.

Yeah, I just confirmed with a compression test. I've been reading some forms and at first I thought it was the oil cooler cause the upper radiator hoes was half way crusty. Now I need to do a head gasket job but i don't know the tools I need parts I need to buy. I need help

the timing belt tensioner wrench and the long bits to pull the headbolts out and put the new ones in. the #1 tool you need is a bentley manual...that way you have it all right there, step by step, torque specs, patterns, etc etc.
it's actually pretty simple to pull that head..the added turbo stuff on there is jsut nuts and bolts..if you've never done it i auggest you have someone who has help you.
i recommend replacing hte waterpump and timing belt and such while your in there...wouldn't hurt!!! who knows if it has ever been done.![]()

Just $300 but don't have that much time to work on em. I'm trying to get all the tools and parts I need so I can fix everything 1 day. =]

torque wrench is a must...good luck with the project. Has there been any bottom work done? If not since you are replacing head gasket buy this http://www.kineticmotorsport.com/pro...R-494-142.html or double stack aba gaskets to lower comp.
