Does anyone know What the difference between the S3 FMIC ($600 ish) and the OEM S3 Front Mount Intercooler only ($288 ish). ?

I know it is efficient but is it just less efficient?

    Thx

The $600+ item is a kit that includes hoses. The other is just the intercooler only.

Our CC 2.0T specific kit includes specially designed hoses that make the S3 FMIC an easy, bolt-on upgrade.
Most people just cut the metal connectors off the stock hoses and use them with hose clamps. Not sure if it's the same on the CC.

FYI If you are looking for more power than K04 output that will not handle it

I believe the only differences between the two is one includes the necessary hoses, clamps for the install and one is only for the S3 front mount core. But I believe you can use the exisiting hoses for the install.

You don't think this particular FMIC would be able to handle a K04 (say APR Stage1 K04)?

    Thanks all for the input

I think hes saying if you want to go bigger than a K04 you will need another IC. You should figure our your ultimate goal and get an IC that will accommodate that. Cheaper to do it right the first time
