VW mechanic in Winnipeg

I just found this forum while I was looking for some info on my VW. I am the original owner of a 2002 Jetta GLS with a 2.0 automatic. I have about 112,000 kilometers on my car.

I am thinking that I should be proactive and get the timing belt changed sooner than later. I am looking for a VW mechanic in Winnipeg. I prefer a 1 or 2 guy operation rather than a big garage. In other words I would like to get the estimate from the guy who will actually do the work on my car.

I am not going to mention names but I had a bad experience with the dealership that I bought my car from. I took the car in to repair the passenger side window that decided to fall into the door and not close anymore. When I picked up the car I was presented with a bill for repairs that I did not authorize. As an example they decided to go ahead and change the oil (using regular oil) even though I use nothing but synthetic which was changed 3 weeks before this occurred.

I sincerely appreciate any information.
