Looking for MK2 GTI in NorCal/Bay Area

I'm looking for a clean MK2 GTI, preferably white but I'm not too picky. I've been trying to find one that's mostly stock or unmolested. Been looking over craigslist and such around here for weeks with nothing that looks too promising. Anybody in the area looking to sell theirs let me know. I have cash and can travel to take a look. You'd be surprised by the amount of people asking 1500 for gti's that need work to run or to pass smog. Even in the local classifieds.

So broadening my horizons and checking out this 1991 jetta GLI tonight. What do you guys think? He wants $2600 for it which I find a bit high. Only 133,000 miles though. Has a sunroof, original paint that needs to be redone. Ad is kind of vague but heres a link to it:
