Thread: '93 fox wont start after cleaning engine.

So I took a can of that engine bright and cleaned the engine bay trying to keep it away from the electrical parts but I guess it wasn't good enough because now the car wont start. It did start right after and I drove it for 10 minutes (it was running really crappy) then turned it off and let it sit for a day. Now it wont start at all. It just makes that clicking sound like the battery is almost dead. I have tried jumping it, taking the battery out and having it charged and tested, checked the battery cables to make sure they are secure, and checked the fuses. Nothing. I am at a loss now. Ideas?

Check all the harness plugs in and around the air cleaner and throttle body, if any got loose, or disconnected or whatever the car often won't start, or it will start and die.

Also make sure you don't have moisture under your distributor cap. This always happens to me when I clean the engine bay
If you were a Volkswagen....who would your owner be?

I checked the connections and they all look good. I checked the distributor cap, but it looks dry to me. It does sound like the distributor cap or the water temp sensor is clicking really fast when someone turns the key. I kinda think the starter is bad. What is the voltage it should be getting?
