Would tick pretty much all the boxes for a fun, reliable and practical DD. You could also include the sedan, but the wagon is better looking. The only slight negative is the not so great MPG.

Handy thread this, my next car is likely to be a $15-$25k fun vehicle. Some suggestions I did not think of in here, an Evo would be nice, but the fact I regularly see young kids driving them puts me off somewhat knowing they will likely be beat to sh*t.

If you're that open minded and you have it on the list, have an extra look at the Evo 8. They're reliable but still a sporty car, interior wise not the best but Recaros make up for it. Most common problems are worn clutches, and that's got to do with people trying to launch em. Find an unmolested one and you will have a good, fun daily.

Dam Id love the Crossfire SRT6 but no M/T, still very tempting like the MKV R32 .

I'd say a barely used Kia, great mpg and warranty! Original topic says 4 seasons, if you means snow then a lot of people choices would be a no go, anything rwd would be rough! I'm in ND so when I think snow I think a lot of snow

EDIT: idk if you can really have fun in a Kia though!

I think you can do a M/T swap on them. Don't quote me on that though...

Of course the Infiniti G35. Especially the AWD one if you need it in the snow.

I wanna take back my post suggesting the 8th gen Civic Si. I test drove a Acura TL with the 6-speed manual and that is now my must have car to get.

I had no idea the CTS-V was now well below $15k, maybe you should think about that one?

I'm not personally looking for a car right now, but I mostly wanted to see what everyone would pick if they were given the option. It really helps anyone in this range (which I think there are a lot of people shopping the $15k range).

Yea, we can get up to a 6 inches on the ground here at a time, more if it's a bad storm. And the fun factor may be left wanting at the end of the day, but that would be #1 on practicality in terms of overall expenditures.

Changed! And the TL would be a nicer car overall

I may be a bit biased here and TCL will probably laugh me out of the thread but I say buy a nice vr6t for 8 or 9k and save the rest for maintenance. Easy 400whp,amazing sound, and still practical.

    Yes you are biased.

Now you have a FWD econobox with more power than you can put down, crappy shifter, etc... Sounds like fun for about 30 seconds.

If you want to drive to VA, there's a customer I have who is selling his 1982 Porsche 911 CS for around $15,000. Took me on a test drive today when he had his daughters Tiguan serviced. Looks fantastic.

EDIT: Just read the DD in the title now. Never mind

Get an 8th gen civic SI (6th gen si, 8th gen civic si), I have one and its a hoot, you could get one for under 10 used and spend the rest on power adders and have a blast with it. Or you can get an em kay four and slam it on BBS RS's....
