Am currently installing tt 264/260 cams into my 24v when i noticed this ( 4 studs total like this)

the cam cap stud has like a skinny point towards the bottom of the threads where as the other 24 are like this .

I have an r32 head in my basement and i checked that head and all 28 studs are the same. Is there a reason for this? or is this a mistake?

these nuts/studs have a very lightly torque spec and this one was definitely over torqued, this caused it to stretch like this, you will need a new stud, most dealerships do not have one in stock but can get one for you in a few days, I recently had this exact same problem, I overtightened one and stretched it out.

Appreciate the reply. And Gotcha. That makes sense but the car has never been taken apart before and only 60k on it. You think this is a factory mess up? Luckily i have an r 32 head in my basement that I took a stud from. Thanks again.

could be factory mess up, but I sure hope not, the torque spec is really low, something like 41 inch lbs or something, you can easily over tighten like i did.
