I want in, but driving 3 hours to Protlund then back to Helen's fart and home, is a bit much.
Idiot Democrats from the Puget Sound wanna get together for a meet up with the cool peeps coming from the south?

There is no special pass required for this drive. But you do need a parking pass. These are usually no more then five dollars. You will need to stop by any of the two Ranger Stations on the way up. The first station is on FR-90 witch I think we should all stop at and pick one up. Lots of room to pull over and get one and get the latest volcano news paper. Also maybe if you would like to donate any funds to the national parks and rec. That would be supper awesome. There is a donation box inside the RS. This ranger station is located just before FR-90 splits to FR-25 or you or we all could stop and get a parking pass (yes day pass) at the RS just located a half mile before windy ridge on that same rd. Just trying to help us out. I was up there last year and this is all that's required. 5$ Let's have some fun.

I called the park and there is a $5 fee per vehicle. Please bring cash and it won't take very long to fill out the envelope and get the pass for the car. We can stop at the information station once we get in the park.![]()
The weather is going to be perfect for this cruise. I don't think we could ask for a better day.

If I don't get asked to work, I'll be there. I'm 50/50 on if I'll pass on more overtime if they do ask.

We might make this. I'll probably catch the group in Woodland since I live in Kelso. I've got my 20 year reunion tomorrow too at 6 in Castle Rock. I'll post here tonight to confirm so you guys can look out for us. What time do you guys plan on coming through woodland?
Ben gone from Vortex for nearly ten years... I must be getting old, cause this style of putting Corvette wheels or what not and stretching tires is a style I do not understand.

The cruise was a lot of fun. I couldn't believe close to 50 cars showed up. The park rangers were very friendly and seemed glad to see us. The guy at the Pine Creek Info Station was walking around with a number counter, trying to count all the people. Thanks for the pics Adam!

Was a great day. Was a really good thing we stopped at Pine Creek. That ranger station has been closed the last few years due to budget cuts. Hopefully we helped a little bit for their statistics to keep funding it's operation.
