    If your looking for euro's, from my exp they are hard to find for a jetta . The golf euros can be found on Ecstunning.com, blackforest or Ngpracing.com or germanautoparts.com. Also look out in the classifieds.

    small = '85 to '90.5
    big = 90.5-'92

    if you have a '91, you have bigs.

    and along with the early ones coming with small bumpers they also had "small doors," just the window is split. Something else that you learned. If you pay really close attention to all you read on these forums you will learn A LOT. I did and i'm still noob

    Except for 88 to 90.5 which have small bumpers but big doors.

    Just another note euro small bumpers (with molding for euro plate) are a little thinner then the North American small bumpers.

    Hey, thanks for kindly answering.

    The lower grille is that the one also known as the valence? What does the belly pan look like? And can I use the big bumper rebar with small bumpers?

    Thanks again.

    The lower grill he's referring to is more than likely the plastic grill that goes directly below the bumper. The belly pan is more than likely the valance you're talking about. No you cannot use big bumper re-bar with small bumpers... different shape and size. Were are you from by the way?

    Lots of people are starting to switch back after the major conversion/update to big bumpers. So many NA small bumpers are gone now. I ditched a set of small door/bumper on an 85 gti to freshen it up a long time ago too. I have a feeling that the trend is reversing itself. I feel lucky to have an unmolested 87 jetta with it's OG bumpers on it. I almost thought about switching when I first got it, but now it's going to stay as is.
