Thread: Where do i plug my turn on wire?

    Hey guys i have a GTI 2002 i installed a new amp and sub and kept my stock head unit (double-din).. Anhone knw were i can plug the turn on cable?.. Also my car doesnt have the CD changer jus in case that changes something.

    i would do one of two things,1) tap into the accessory fuse or run a relay switch to the battery so you can fully control when your amp powers on and off

    I wouldn't do any of the above.

    Options:

    1. Underneath the driver side dash there are a few terminals that are labeled. Terminal "75x" is a switched power source (only on when the car is on). Tap in there and make sure to fuse your remote turn on wire within 6" from the 75x terminal.

    2. Go behind the radio and grab the accessory wire there (also fuse it), or if you have an aftermarket radio there is a "remote controller" or "remote turn on" that is designed to turn on amplifiers.
