heres a picture of my beetle, as u can see the back will have problems if i keep driving it around like this.
:so i got a low 64 bug. wanna solve some issues with the rear of it bying putting in air shocks in the back and running lines to a tank so i can controll the ride hight in the back. Have it raised while driving to relax the axles and trans and everything that breaks when ur driving a low bug.
:what im wandering is if anyone else on here also did this idea of mine with air shocks in the back. and where is place to buy these? not looking for a kit. i have tanks and lines and switches. just looking for air shocks that can just simply work.

hes looking for air shocks for the rear. no one really makes a small enough one for the rear with as low as he is.
you need to build this, but if your wanting to go air shock out back i would defiantly get the shocks first so you know how long you will need to make them. hell you might not have to make them at all?????
and then just use the air shock used for the front of the car. that said didn't get them from Peter, he sells them for way more than what you can get them form your local auto parts store.
Gabriel Hijacker 39507 is what I'm told works real well. i would open up the intake to a 1/4" and run 1/4" air lines myself.
I have tried the shortest air shocks in the rear of my type 3 and they are not short at all (the MA803 Monroe shocks). I went with a custom air ride with actual bags. I know its not a type 1 but it's the same idea. the air shocks will lift the front starting at about 150psi. Don't waste your money/time messing with using an air shock in the rear, it wont work. You have to fully disable your rear torsion bars and go with a rear air ride "kit" like the one Airkewld sells. (the ONLY way in my opinion to drive a slammed car)

but you're saying not to mess with an air shock for the rear and just do a conventional bag set up for the rear?
