So far I've found dpf deletes at rawtek, milltek and pde. Anyone know of another source?

    Thanks

Honestly the price... Also, I have not seen a single complaint about quality or fitment towards rawtek.

Which set up are you going with? A straight pipe only, cat, no cat...?

I wanted a cat and resonator but not for $589. So it looks like I'll have it straight piped to the factory muffler as of now

Oh really? Is this a rumor or have they hinted at a combo sale before?

Well awesome egr and dpf system failed today. My white bumper was covered in soot. I only got around 250 miles on this last tank of diesel which had me wondering. I guess now I know!

Talking to pde now about ordering a dp and midpipe.

Good news is the mechanic I use just ordered a Malone tuning computer so we won't have to mail my ECU out. Unsure if I should go ahead and do a dsg tune as well.

How many miles on your car? I haven't hear too many cases of dpf failure. Get the dsg tune while your at it. It will make it more fun to drive and one less thing to tell yourself you should get.

80,300 miles on it... I think I will do the trans tune. Just to get it all over with at one time

I hope mine goes soon too that will make it easy to rid of. I have about 70k on mine. I'm going with unitronic for my tune though. I already have their stage 1 tune and I love it.

Oh really? You could tell a difference with just a stage 1?

Huge. It's much better now so much more power. I'm guessing with a stage 2 it will be even better

so you will have to cut the straight pipe in order to fit it to the muffler? or does rawtek offer a straight pipe to fit with oem muffler?

and why would you want the cat? for a visual purpose in case someone looks underneath?

I'm really interested to see it installed on a car so if you would not mind, could you take few pics of it before and after installation?

They have a mid pipe I was going to buy which ends where the factory cat ends (I think), that way you can use your factory cat back, using the large cased muffler at the bumper, or an aftermarket cat back. Both will work I think. There's really not too much info on these exhaust systems since there isn't a ton of people doing this.

I wanted a cat so it doesn't sound too raspy... Theres a video on YouTube of a golf tdi that has a dpf delete with cat and resonator and it sounds amazing. Not too loud.

I may do the dpf delete to a midpipe with no cat or muffler, Y piped into duals (mainly for looks).

I will take tons of pictures and post them up for you. Hopefully ordering a downpipe and mid pipe tomorrow. I'll have a guy I know build me an exhaust from the midpipe back if I don't like how it sounds with the factory muffler at the bumper.

    Thanks for the pics Matt!
My issue is that I'm still trying to decide if I "need" the cat for a more visual purpose (in case my car gets looked at from underneath during my yearly safety inspection or get pulled over by a state police). Otherwise, I'm thinking of going with a straight pipe... just have to pick either PDE 2 1/2" or Rawtek 3" piping.

Yeah if you have a strict inspection I would put a cat on it. I would stick with smaller diameter exhaust. If you were to go with 3" on this small of a motor, there won't be enough flow to push the heat out, it will basically turn the exhaust into an oven. Some back pressure is a good thing in my opinion. Hope that makes sense.

I was going to go full straight pipe from the downpipe. My friend is making it for me, and if it's too loud or obnoxious I can always cut som of the pipe and add a muffler onto the end. But for a while after I first do it I'll be happy to hear all that it can give me. I'm sure at one point or if it really drones on the highway I'll switch it up. I was going to go 2.5" also.

Went with Rawtek. Should be here on Saturday maybe Monday. Chose a midpipe with cat and resonator just to get it all over with at one time.

So you went with a 3" diameter piping. You did get the down pipe as well? Right? Are you going with EGR delete as well?
Can't wait to see the pics of exhaust before and after the install. Can't really see well enough on the pics they have on their website.

I did go with the 3" even though I didn't want to. 3" downpipe with egr delete, then a 3" midpipe with a cat and resonator. Pde is backordered and milltek is so hard to find on the Internet so I went with rawtek.

Good Move.. You won't regret it. My DSG shifting is very smooth now.

You will have a completely different car after the work is done. My first couple of tanks, my MPG went down a tiny bit. I couldn't keep my foot out of the pedal Driving conservatively again, it is up.

Haha that's what I'm hoping for.

My conversion will be complete hopefuley by the weeks end. I have the tune, rawtek down pipe and mid pipe. As of now I opted to not do the DSG tune as I don't have the problems others talk about. Not sure why. Is it because I'm not driving it hard enough? I drive a 2012 Sportwagen.

What benefits can I expect with the DSG tune?

Watched one of the rawtek units go on a Jetta today. That 3" pipe looks like a truck drive shaft under the car!

From what my tuner told me, is the dag will act more like an R32 trans. Shifts frimer and faster. He said he's noticed that the dsg shifts smoother in sport mode rather than drive for some reason after its tuned though.

Reflected, do you tune as well?
