Take more protein and carbohydrates based foods to gain the weight and develop the muscles. Not take more cholesterol foods because these foods gain your fat instead of muscles.
Include more milk, yogurt, meat, eggs, fish, cheese, fresh fruits and vegetables in your daily diet for the weight gain.

I'm gonna go against everyone elses thinking and say what worked for me. Eat carbs, and when you do make sure you eat em with protein.
