Yeah, they can be difficult to get a hold of in store. Order in from another one, or order or Amazon or something.

Plastic.
- Can I retain my stock visors?
Yes. The trick is (and I don’t think anyone else has done this) to flip the mounting bracket and slightly bore out the mounting hole (on the bracket) to fit the screw.

This helps too (excuse the dodge charger ) You also have to take pictures like the following as an approximation of color, because most digital cameras have a tough time capturing higher color temperatures. This is because digital cameras are calibrated to capture light around the 5500K spectrum, not 10000K to 30000K. Anyone who has a modern saltwater reef tank will be familiar with this phenomenon.

To understand the science behind Kelvin color temperature, also known as uniform black body radiation, think of a black lump of iron. Heat that lump of iron to 3000 degrees Kelvin. It will be glowing a yellow-white color. Heat it to 5500K and it will be glowing a crisp daylight white, and so on. That said, all color temperatures, in any application, are approximations, not an exact science. An LED rated at 3000k will be much different than an HID rated for 3000k, etc.

No
- Will these make my highbeams yellow?
No. FTP stands for "Flash to Pass". They flash only when you pull the stalk back while your headlamps are not on.
- Can I make these come on with my highbeams?
Yes. Hop on VAGCOM, Select Control Module > 17 - Instruments > Coding 07 > change the pattern from xxxx2xx to xxxx4xx

Awesome, do you think 7500k would look bad thought? Not really a fan of 8000k HID's output but i like the idea of a blue FTP

Also, I assume i would have to use the canadian version of amazon, and what looks like the same bulb is 4x more expensive (http://www.amazon.ca/GP-Thunder-SGP7...4821826&sr=8-4)

Benefit: PCV systems are known to be an issue. The FSI, being direct injection, dumps fuel directly into the cylinders. In a fuel injected platform, the fuel travels through the fuel rail, into the intake manifold, mixes with air, and into the combustion chamber to ignite. Believe it or not, fuel is cooling your motor. With direct injection, the only thing mixing with air into your motor is the oil from the PCV system. When the oil cakes onto the valves and cooks from the heat (remember: no fuel to cool), it becomes problematic (misfiring from improper valve seating) and expensive/time consuming to rectify.
Example of carbon buildup caused by oil:

You're implying that the PCV Revamp (or a catch can) will keep this from happening. Unfortunately, it won't.

So it doesn't improve visibility in a street car? I'm not really a fan but i've driven in a car with a larger rear view mirror before (about twice the size of stock and convex) and i could see both blind spots in the rear view at the same time. Either way if you're aware on the road you only need to check blind spots occasionally so it doesn't help all that much.

For GLI & GTI: Cheesy Blacked Out Emblem Mod

1. Twist front emblem approx 40 degrees counterclockwise
2. Fiddle around with it until it pops out
3. Spray black Plasti-Dip on emblem
4. Let it dry overnight
5. Repeat step 1 in reverse
6. Marvel at your newly black emblem
