So the time has come to part ways with my 97’ Driver’s Edition GTI and I’m hoping someone can enjoy it like I have. I purchased this vehicle back in August of 07’ from the original owner who lived in North Carolina and in the last 5 years I’ve only put about 7,000 miles on it. As you can see below I’ve put an extensive amount of time and money into this car and have really enjoyed the whole project. If anyone’s interested, I’ve had an on-going build thread that highlights most of what’s been done and the various states the vehicle has gone through.

Below you will see several images, if there’s something you would like to see let me know. You will see a few pictures of me at the track but wanted to note this vehicle was only used at 2 HPDE events on low boost (7psi). I’ve also posted 2 videos below; one at the track and one accelerating on 16psi.
Included in the purchase will be all the extra parts I can find (many various seals and gaskets), service manual (Bentley), VW fitted car cover and my Ross Tech datalink cable.
I have a folder full of receipts I’ll dig up that will also go with the vehicle. My best estimates are roughly $10K in parts alone and that’s guessing low. I’m a reasonable person and don’t expect to get all that money back and will be fair with my asking price.
I’ve been on this forum for a LONG time and have read through countless for sale threads comparing my car with what’s been sold. I’ve seen FS threads go bad in a hurry because of several reasons, so here are my rules.
