This has a smaller footprint than a BMW 5 Series.

"What's that loud, boring sound you'll hear when I stop talking?"
    "It's an albino humping worm!"
"Why do they call it that?"
"Because it doesn't have any pigment."

I had the pleasure of stumbling across an F50 parked on the street once when I was 16 years old, I couldn't and still can't believe how small of a car it actually was. I agree with the assessment that most supercars are actually very small. Often, pictures are taken from such low angles that you lose all sense of how short they are.

GT40 replicas, but still fairly true to OG size:

The EP3 looks much more minivan-esq in pictures than it actually is. Its easy to lose in a parking lot.

Not that it looks "big", but it does look very tall in pictures.

I was shocked when I first saw a 917 in the flesh.

No Veyron yet!? I'd post a picture but im on my phone. All initial thoughts are that it is a very big car, but when looking for one in a parking garage parked next to a new beetle it was practically completely shielded by the beetle it is actually a very little car indeed

it is a bit shocking to see how large the e is in comparison, even though its the easiest car ive ever had to parallel park

also makes me want a 964 that much more!

Always good to fulfill a longing. I remember drooling at the thought of an RSA as a teen, back in that time when they went for less than other 964s.

It may not end up being a 964, but I'm still looking forward to a Porsche of my own.

I know that it is never considered a big car, but I'm usually surprised at just how small my 951 is when side-by-side other cars (note the mk6).

Most supercars look deceptively small... even the Veyron. They just always got closeup photo taken or sit beside another deceptively small supercar...

I don't consider my old Firebird small, but it looks that way parked next to a Jeep Liberty.

Saw an old F-150 (probably 1980s) next to a new Tundra (both were regular cab trucks). The Tundra looked much larger, but mainly in the height aspect.

Also, comparing 1980s minivans to today's minivans shows they have grown.

Generally agree. Like most celebrities and movie stars. Real life: tiny bodies and Big heads.

Size does matter when it comes to handling; moreso than a lot of other factors.

I think also because in pictures in videos there's no point of reference in scale in most cases. I had known for a while just how small the NSX was but the 997 911 was probably a surprise for me as well. I though it would be huge based on the impressions from videos but seeing it in person and being in one, they're rather tiny.

I managed to make a smart look big by parking my Fiat 126 next to one.

Fiat 126 bis build thread here. Error 404: 0-60 not found.
    Fiat 128, the stroppy cow.

Nissan Juke, looks like it would be CR-V sized but then looks tiny when you look at it from the rear or side.

If you're going to go about small interiors, then you might as well throw a Hummer in here

Everytime a I see that 917 pic I have to look again.......I always tought it was HUGE, like, the size of a Diablo at least.

    Its tiny, 914 size.............amazing.

Must be crazy driving something with that much power, that light and that small.

Here's a great thread on prime where people post pics of their NSX next to other cars.

Its size is a blessing and a curse. It's so low that SUVs have a hard time seeing you, but it's small enough to be able to capitalize on small traffic gaps. Yesterday I had to do just that. An SUV was merging into me, and obviously didn't see me, so I floored it into a tiny gap and saved my ass.

The first-gen Vipers looked so imposing in photographs.

And then I saw one in person and they were tiny. Even to my small 8-year-old self.
