    hello new to the forums!

i just purchased a 2009 passat 2.0T 39,000k and im in love! but i noticed to today that the glove box and the dash above it the rubberized coating is starting to peal. i was wondering if this could be replaced under warranty i did purchase the extend warranty and im sure it still has the 2 year also.

Do you have pics? Extended warranties are normally powertrain, some may include bumper to bumper but I'm not sure. You may still have some original warranty which would be bumper to bumper. You'd have to call your dealership to be sure.

Some dealers will replace trim pieces under warranty while others will not. I had a brand new shifter + chrome cover replaced because the chrome shifter button was peeling. The dealership I bought the car from refused to replace it under warranty. I took it to another dealer and they had no trouble swapping it out. The same dealer also replaced a loose air vent for free. It all depends on your dealer.
