VCDS Faults after Upgrading CANBUS

[DecepticonR32]

I installed an RCD-510, and MDI box, but I needed a new canbus, so that the MDI box would work. I upgraded the Canbus to a revision L and had these issues.

How can I reach the unreachable modules like Sound System, Radio, Media Player

Where should I be looking to verify correct wiring, or possible errors in wiring?
I would assume under the dash, driver side, near the canbus and also towards the radio.

Reference the wiring diagram in the repair manual for each respective application to verify.

You can also verify that the new/used gateway isn't faulty by plugging the old one back in for a test, wouldn't be the first one that fails...

I was able to clear the code for Address 46: Central Conv. So ignore that in my post.

But now I have an airbag light on.

I am assuming the canbus I purchased was faulty, so I am returning that to eBay and finding another one.

Airbag light fixed at dealer, they replaced the side igniter.

Got a replacement canbus in the mail today, I'll swap it this weekend, and see how things go.

Not sure about these codes, but everything seems to be functioning correctly except for the aux input. I have the kufatec wiring harness, so the pins should be set correctly, but honestly, i'm not too worried about the aux working.

I'm still getting the 00469 - Infotainment Databus in Single Wire Operation
012- Electrical Fault in circuit

I'm assuming its the Kufatec wiring harness now. This is causing the radio to randomly lose power and then come back up. Sometimes it's 10 times in a trip, other times it's like 2-3 times. It varies.

Also, the Audio function on the MFD occasionally is not available.
I just got home and did a scan, the radio is playing (it turned off and on about 2 times driving home) But the audio function isn't on the MFD. The scan showed the same single wire fault, and couldn't talk to the radio and media controllers though.

VW replaced the RCD-510 under warranty It was deemed defective. Coding for steering wheel buttons reset. Everything works! Case closed.

Yup. what an odd turn of events! I hope my next project (running the 4th wire for LED tail lamps, adding in a trigger wire for the rear fog, and coding all of it) turns out a bit better.

My fog trigger wire rattles like crazy. Take the time to route it properly behind the dash or you'll regret it.
