Hello, first post here. I've been reading about the low oil pressure problems people have and I haven't seen my exact symptoms so I wanted to check before I buy anything.
Pressure is good at startup (5 bars) then as I drive the oil pressure starts dropping until it reaches about .7-1 (while driving not at idle) and then of course the buzzer goes off and stays on for the rest of the trip until I turn my car off. I just put it a new oil filter (recommended from this site) and I'm running 20W-50 oil. I haven't verified the pressure with a gauge yet but if the sender or switch was faulty I wouldn't think it would start out showing high then gradually decrease. I was thinking about a new oil pump but I've read that's more of a temporary fix. What do ya think?
Oil Thins as it warms up. The pressure to go down is normal.
The Bentley says oil temp at 80 degrees, rpm at 2000 you should be at 1.5 bar pressure.
Chances are that your sender is bad that is on the drivers side of the head, and the low pressure
on the oil filter flange..
Grounds, Grounds, Grounds Replace them things.
Divorces, Great Coffee, and Electrics, all start with GOOD Grounds. Where are my grounds ?
