Just curious, as I've been watching a local neighbor kid rip around town in his built Mustang Fox Body.

I graduated in '02, and I'd have to say it was a 2001 Black on Black Camaro SS. Had all the SLP goodies and sounded like the devil under full throttle.

Owned by a local real estate developers kid. It was actually a really nice car.

Typical F-body GM or a vette...

    Went to public school.

    Then new MK4 Supra Turbo.
There was a C4 Vette there as well.

I'm almost 32 so this was a long time ago.

My younger brother lived in a different state with my mom but one of his friends drove an F355

The highschool near where I lived in NJ there were a couple GTRs and AMG Benz.

There was some kid whose dad bought him an e46 M3 but that's really the only noteworthy one I can think of.

Hmm, I'd probably guess the fastest car at my school was a friend's 2003 SVT Lightning. Lots of kids had nice cars, but nothing exceptionally fast.

It would have been an interesting battle (1994) between a Mustang 5.0, some Camaros, and my at that time lively classic Saab 900 Turbo.

Same. Though his dad owned a decent chunk of a somewhat larger business. Nice guy too.

Also went to a public school, and was thinking about it earlier. It was probably a prelude SH

It belonged to a girl whos dad passed and left it to her I still see her driving it around, in fact I saw it this afternoon. Graduated in 2005, car still looks great.

Our HS parking lot was mostly populated by volvo station wagons, camry's, accords, and other late 80's to early 90's sensible family cars.

Kid with a built fox body for me as well. Small town public school, more diesel pickups than "fast" cars. I beat up on most people with my 1641 beetle around town (over 35 I got destroyed - but I was commonly first through the light).

One of my friends rebuilt an 87 GN our senior year, I never got to ride in it but I hear it was fast.

The only 'quick' cars (I wouldn't call any of them fast) I can think of offhand were:

    A GMC Cyclone
    An E36 M3
A 383 Roadrunner with some added lightness in the form of rust
A Taurus SHO (driven by a girl I desperately wanted to bone. She was too smart to get involved with me though. Went to MIT and everything)
    A few 5.0 Mustangs and V8 Camaros/Firebirds
    A Subaru SVX
A couple of hotted up first and second gen AWD Diamond Stars

Fastest? Probably the '82 Mercury Capri RS 5.0 (just like this one):

Coolest? Definitely the '56 Coupe de Ville (decidedly worse-off than this one lol)

    Graduated in 1986, btw.

Graduated in 93... 2 fastest cars were a supercharged S-10 blazer and a 1950 Chevy coupe with a built 396. Pretty sure the blazer won though.

Racking my brain here... Could have very well been my 69 Camaro. There was a non turbo Supra, few 3rd gen F bodies... But I am pretty certain mine was fastest.

Not to toot my own horn, but I'm pretty sure mine was. At my second high school at least, transferred halfway through.
Terrible picture. Junior year photography class, lol.

I was friends with a kid at my first high school that had an old Le Mans that ran high 11s. He was the only faster one I knew of.

I graduated HS in '97 and I was driving an '87 IROCZ, there were a few 5.0 foxes, and even more Camaro's, seamed like if you were into cars back then you either drove a Fox Body or 3rd Gen Camaro.

Anyway, I would say for the better part of a year I had the fastest car then some dude built a stroked '69 Chevelle.

Not my car, but looked just like it.

Not sure. You weren't allowed to smoke on school property (including lot) so I parked over on Biddle St with the other degenerates.

One of these or a similar '92 GT with mods. The GT left the road backwards at near triple digit speeds when the driver ran out of talent.

I graduated in 2000 from a public school, so no Lambos or anything...

The fastest car that I know of at my school was a 72 Nova. Super clean, but very powerful. Many other cars were louder and uglier but this guy was (from what I heard) undefeated on the local roads.

a guy a year ahead of me had an e36m3 that was sent to miami to get fully built and turboed.
after highschool he sold it and bought an mk4 supra that was eventually built by titan i think and was at one point the fastest 6 speed in the country.

also a couple turbo civics and a handful of built dsms were pretty popular in hs
my neighbor growing up sr year had a 79 trans am with an olds 455 that was bored to 472 or something crazy. that car was crazy fast for a kid, and it still sits in his driveway now.

it was pretty common to see sportbikes in the lot at school too.
