I did some searching here and through Google, but I cannot find the original page I found earlier (I forgot to bookmark it)
Essentially, I understand that there are plastic allen screws (well the heads are plastic) on top of the headlight which you can use to manually adjust the headlights up,down, as well as side to side. However, when I do this (with the car off), the car automatically readjusts the headlights back to their previous position. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, my headlight aim literally at the ground and it is incredibly unsafe for me to drive at night with them like that.
I know you're supposed to use a Vag-com to send a command so that they "re-learn" the new starting point, and then adjust the lights, but I have also read that if you do it while the car is off, it should be okay.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I don't have access to a Vag-com and I really can't afford to go to the dealer to pay 100 bucks for them to do it (though for safety I may in the end do this).

I adjusted mine with the ignition on, engine off. I did it at night with the lights on so i could see where they were being adjusted to. Worked out fine for me. They havent moved since.
If a little's good, then a lot's better, and too much is just right.

there's a control module (that's what I call it) in driver-side wheel well. check and see it the "arm" is disconnected or broken. If so, both lights will point to the ground...about 6 feet in front of the car.
in this pic, the "grayish" arm to the left of the black drop-link, is the xenon light leveler-arm. at the top, the arms connects to a lever....that little 2inch lever where the gray arm is connected, was broken on mine, and both headlights pointed directly to the ground. indy shop used some epoxy to temporary fix until the new module came in (about $60-80 as I recall.) Not cheap.
anyway, check your as you may have same problem.
