That was my good friend and his brother that came 3+ hours to view your car yesterday.

He had cash in hand and was expecting the car in the photos.

These pictures had to be when you first got it.

He said the door jams, bay and inside the trunk are still Platinum Grey and paint was coming off in areas, the front bumper was hanging off, that it needs motor mounts at minimum.

Essentially, this car was painted with the doors still on and closed and the trunk/hood were not removed.

You're trying to sell this at show car price, when it's not show car quality.

His brother had the money and was super excited and wanted the car. As soon as he saw it he knew it wasn't as advertised and is far from MINT.

Sorry man, but people need to know to not waste 6 hours of their life coming to see this only to be disappointed.

I want to start by saying if you're not buying the car, stay off the thread. If the person who came to look at the car has anything to say, let him be the one to speak up. In regards to the pictures taken of the car, they were snapped a week before he listed the Jetta.

I would know quite a bit about travelling to get a car. Here are some tips to tell your noob car buying friend:

If driving more than even 2 hours, ask for more pictures. Call the owner on the phone and talk to the guy - in detail. If the owner is being short with you, you stop right there. Second, this car has a respray, not a full-respray. The owner never stated that he had a "full-respray" on the car. Lastly, regardless of paint, if you guys even knew anything about cars, you could tell he took exceptional care of the car, from the day he got it until now - I know because I drove this thing half way back from where he purchased. Minus the paint on the front bumper getting chipped from low driving, every body "imperfection" was just the same as he purchased from the previous owner (who painted the car himself). Ask the skateaholic247 to refer you to the original owner if you don't like how the car looks.

Another point for you, the price your "good friend" was getting for this car, it's a jaw dropper. So before you even note saying "selling a car that's not a show car at a show car price" is the dumbest ****ing thing I've read in your post. If you knew the price it's not "show-car" $$$. Add $4k on top of the price your "good friend" was getting and then you have a "show-car" price.

Everything in your post I practically LOL'd and shook my head because you're just like every other person on vortex that has to talk down someone's car. Let this dude sell his car and since you're not buying, or even interested in the Jetta, GTFO. Please and thank you.
