Who's ready? I know I'am!!! I played it at E3 and feels a lot better than last years. They finally changed the engine. I can't wait to start my football league (XBFL) and start kicking a$$. This year my Rams should be better after all the acquired new talent we picked up during the draft and off season.

I was never a big fan of the Madden series after playing the 2K series but ended up buying Madden '12. I enjoyed it because it had been years since I had played a football video game but found myself wishing I was playing 2K.

Plus, I just started a new job working graveyard and until I get fully adjusted to my new sleeping schedule my gaming has been cut down drastically.

Did you skip NCAA this year or does this Madden just look that good? I really have paid zero attention this year. First time in quite awhile that I haven't jumped on board with one or the other.

i skipped NCAA and I have not had Madden since 2010 version

Sap, this year it seems a lot better. Download the demo and check it out for yourself. Like I said I played it at E3 and was pleasantly surpriesed how smooth it runs. I downloaded the demo and felt a little bit more restricted than when I played it at E3, but all in all feels better than last years and last years was great! Let me know when or if you get it so we can catch a game and I can take you down with my Rams.

Got mine today (PS3, sporin71)

It feels a lot different from last year and some of the new options (and returning options) are great. I've bought it every year since the beginning, often I've felt like it was a $60 Roster Update, but Madden 13 is legit.

You guys who love scrambling QB's are going to love Cam Newton and all the option plays in the playbook for him. I'm sure RGIII and Tebow have similar attributes. Maybe Russell Wilson, too.

gameplay is great

much improved over Madden 10/11 (i dont remember which one i had last)

only downside is it felt like it took me about an hour to get to week 1 of a franchise er coach

all pro came back from 17-7 on GB to win 34-24

Also Randy Moss is a beast in this game. Jumps up and grabs everything repeat EVERYTHING

Played a bunch last night with different teams. Game is a big improvement over M12.

I had a lot of fun with Seattle. Flynn is great, solid run game, and excellent defense.

I played as an Invidual and i really dont like that. guess i'll have to try coach mode.

does coach mode to allow you to control the whole play from snap to finish?

i think its the best one yet. but they really need to fix that very slight lag when you play online, it so effects a game like this that is slower paced than something like a FPS. the last few years the lag has been noticeable and it hurts. ANd i have the fastest available COX speeds.

Well after all the chatter this week... I decided to buy it again. Each year that goes by the xbox time reduces... but lately it's been almost non-existent. I'm sure this will get a month or so of use before the next call of duty takes what little gaming time I have.


Brian - I may signup for the league like I've done in the past... probably would help fill up the league. Just not sure I will make a whole season...

Uploaded my pics to the Madden site to make myself a player. Worked pretty great, actually. Entered myself as an undrafted MLB from UW, with my actual height/weight (6' 5", 255). My avatar has a better physique than I do though.

just not into it. Frank Gore week 2 on all pro had 250 yards rushing and 2 TDs but Randy Moss was dropping everything a week after he torches GB?

This franchise needs a major overhaul. It's the same polished turd year after year. I've read all about the new physics and yet the tackles still look canned to me. I'm seeing a lot of the same animations in the videos I've watched.

Played a bunch of games, really enjoying it. I play on all-pro, against the AI mostly. I still throw too many INT's and suck on Defense. I don't roll up 250 yards with Runningbacks. :shrug:

I just started playing with my 9 year old who is just learning about football. It's fun. We take mismatched teams, he plays on Rookie, I play on All-Pro or higher and if I go easy on him we can keep it close. When he really catches on though I'm in trouble.

How in the hell, do you get 250 rushing yards!?!?!?! I'm lucky I get 70 yards with Steven Jackson. It's difficult to run in this game.

35 carries. Also setup runs and then use their counters - broke a 60 yard run like that

NE's running game (in Madden) isn't great, hoping Ridley impresses this season and gets a stat update. I've had better luck subbing in Woodhead at RB, he's faster and can get outside. Neither of them can break much up the middle though.
