IMG/Motorsports Rehabilitation Foundation Present: Twilight HPDE/Races 9/8/2012

A heads up to all the DE/Racers,

IMG and the Motorsports Rehabilitation Foundation (http://www.gomrf.org/) will be hosting a Twilight HPDE & Sprint Race at Pocono Raceway on Saturday, September 8th, 2012.

This is the first Twilight event of this type to be offered in the Northeast! How often can you say that you have driven on a NASCAR track at night? Not too often I bet.

It is a full day event from 4 PM right until midnight, starting in daylight and finishing under track lighting at Pocono Raceway! It will be the ultimate experience for everyone, as it is not often that you can say that you have raced/done an HPDE event under the lights at Pocono International Raceway!

Racers will receive a 20 minute practice, a 20 minute qualifying session, and a 30 minute flag-to-flag feature race under the lights on Pocono North! The Sprint Race includes daytime practice, qualifying at dusk, and a 30 minute feature race at 11:15 PM.

Entry for the Sprint Races is just $195 for IMG members, and $220.00 for non-IMG members. For DE participants, the cost is $195. Dinner is included for all drivers. Best of all, proceeds from the event will go to a charitable organization that supports fellow racers in need (MRF).

All participants will be organized into run groups in accordance with experience, skill, and type of vehicle based on the experience of the applicants. Participants not "signed off" to solo will be required to drive with an instructor on board at all times. Under no circumstances will timed laps be permitted!

This event is open to all makes and model vehicles, and will start in the daylight, at 4:00pm, and continue until at 12:00am. You will receive the same amount of track time as a daytime HPDE.

Students should sign up early as this event is sure to sell out!
