ok so I dont know how to remove the rear wiper to install the ecs delete piece. I have searched here and a few other places. i feel like i need a special tool. oh and I need help switching out mirror caps and mirror turns. thanks.

Got the dash shelf kit it and black a/c knobs on. hopefully getting the mirror caps and the smoked markers in tomorrow.

Welcome! Always have loved UG. There's once for sale through a dealer near me and have been contemplating trading my GLI for it.



My wife's R has the ECS one and has been fine. Noticeable difference. My GLI has the BFI one and same thing.

Most say to get the HPA puck for the R32s but this is a good bang for your buck mod.

this is what i did to the ECS inserts since i got the HPA puck that i've won from last year's Fastivus raffle. i didn't feel a single thing with those ECS red rubber thing. with the HPA puck, you can hear the hum inside the cabin due to the vibration probably meaning it has a purpose.

Which? The ECS? Essentially the same thing as your BFI torque arm insert, just a different vendor, and maybe different durometer / stiffness.

Instead of an insert, for five times as much $, you can rip the old OEM assembly out and replace it with the HPA. It's stiffer yet.

I had the ECS one for several years. No problem with it, I could feel the difference when I installed it. I eventually ripped it out (it was still working fine) and replaced with the HPA puck that I got a good deal on.

yeah I wanted the puck at first. but just ended up hetting this for now. most likely get the puck later on. thanks for the input.

I need ideas for my interior. I want to replace all the brushed alum. circle with something else. I have $250 to spend from the vagfair auction hydrographics credit. I dont want it to be to off the wall but i dont want it to be black like the rest of the interior. Im not sure but I want it done before h2oi.

suggestions please pictures of said design would also be great.

ECS TUNING sent me the wrong window plug for my rear wiper delete even after i book marked my car in the system.... it says mk4_ _ _ _ _ on the label. now I have a whole in my rear window with nothing to plug it with. ugh! angry!

so I called ecs and they say its the right part. need to use sealant to attach. seems to be working.
