Good morning everyone. I would like to start off by thanking everyone for the dedication and patience you are all showing and giving Dubs Along the Rockies this year. Yes it is true; we have been behind on getting all the information released to you; the participants. We are trying to make this show the best one yet. We do not want to release any information until its set in stone, t’s are crossed and I’s are dotted.

I would like to let you know that Dubs Along the Rockies is a Water Cooled Volkswagen and Audi show. These cars are our primary focus. We know there are some great vehicles in Colorado and we expect them to participate this year. Now, we cannot ignore the roots and the reasons behind the modern Volkswagens and Audis. Without our Air Cooled ancestors, who knows where we would be today. This is the reason we are also going to have several Air Cooled Classes this year.

At Dubs Along the Rockies, we know that Volkswagens and Audis would not be the best German machinery if they did strive to be better with competition and innovation to compete with the other great German Automobile manufactures. This is why we are opening our doors to Mercedes Benz, BMW and Porsche. Each of which will have their own classes and trophies as well.

One last thing, we understand the impact that other European Automobile Manufactures have in the market. We are including an “All Euro” class that will encompass vehicles like Mini, Fiat, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Volvo, Saab, Bugatti, and who knows.. Koenigsegg… We could go on and list 20 other manufactures that would fit into this category; but then again… Dubs Along the Rockies is a Water Cooled Volkswagen and Audi show.

So; without any further hesitation and delay; here is information on show, registration and the classes for the 2012 Dubs Along the Rockies.

The show is August 25th at Dicks Sporting Goods Park.

Online registration will be open by 8:00am August 1st. Cost is $10.00.

There will be “at the door” registration as well. Cost is $12.00.

All classes will be judged by volunteers selected by the Dubs Along the Rockies committee.

Every Water Cooled Volkswagen and Audi class will have “Best in Class” and “Runner Up” trophies.

There will be a “Best in Class” for each Air Cooled class only.

The remaining trophy will go to the “All Euro” class.

With this said; we are also going to add 2 special show classes. The first is the “People’s Choice” trophy. Every participant that has a vehicle registered in the 2012 Dubs Along the Rockies will have the opportunity to make one vote on the car that you feel is the best car of the show. The car with the most votes wins; period. We encourage the voters to be fair with this. There will be NO stuffing the ballot box for this. Only Volkswagen or Audi vehicles are eligible.

Just in case you do not agree with the “People’s Choice”, there is going to be a special “King of the Rockies” trophy. This trophy will be awarded to the best Volkswagen or Audi in the entire show. The sponsors of the show, combined with the volunteer judges will rate and score the best of the best cars at the 2012 Dubs Along the Rockies. Only Volkswagen or Audi vehicles are eligible.

ATTENTION business owners;
Any company is allowed to enter the show without being a sponsor. However, you will be parked in general parking. You will get the same allocated parking area as a show car participant. You will not be able to display any company banner or sell any company product. You may display promotional items on your automobile only.

The schedule for Dubs Along the Rockies 2012; Saturday August 25th.

Vendors and sponsors can start parking and setting up starting at 10:00am.
Show cars and participants will start parking at 12:00pm.
Show and judging officially starts at 2:00pm.
Awards and prizes start at 5:00pm.

There will be one entrance for vendors and sponsors.
There will be a second entrance for show cars that have pre-registered ONLY!
There will be a 3rd entrance for "pay at the door" show cars.

***only vehicles that are registered either as a show vehicle or a vendor/sponsor vehicle will be allowed with in the show parking area. There will be a designated area for all general parking.

This is my first DATR and I wasn't sure if I should show my car, so thats a good alternative for me. Lol
