I am an ASE certified mechanic with over seven years experience in the import auto repair industry mostly working on Nissan/Infiniti and VW/Audi models. I have a fully equipped shop with all required tools and equipment including VAGCOM. Just looking to pick up some side jobs for some extra cash.

Send any repair inquiries or questions directly to my inbox.

    Thanks

Had a 1990 300ZX in the shop last week. Owner noticed low oil pressure readings and shortly after the motor seized and shot a few connecting rod bearings out the sides of the oil pan!! Found him a used engine in Philadelphia and got him back up and running !!

After further inspection it became evident his clutch was on its way out so I went ahead and replaced that too!!

I also discovered that his master cylinder was leaking brake fluid down the fire wall and onto the drivers side frame rail where it was starting to eat away at it. So I went ahead and took down the rust to bear metal with some scotch-brite pads on the section of rail, etch primed it and then sprayed it with under coat. Of course I replaced that faulty master cylinder as well!!

Have a couple 1.8T's in the shop today.

First is a 2004 GTI with an APR K04 kit and EIP front mount intercooler. Owner was driving when the timing belt slipped and left him stranded. After removing the head I found 12 bent valves. Luckily it caused minimal damage to the pistons just light surface scratches. Owner provided a used head that just needs the cams swapped over. Ordered a new timing belt kit with water bump and a completed head gasket kit. Get this one back on the street real soon!

Second is a 2001 Golf 1.8T with an APR Stage 1 chip. Went and towed this one back to the shop from Albany NY. Owner complained of loss of power and an intermittent oil light coming on. After dropping the oil pan I discovered that a previous mechanic resealed the oil pan but when doing so he/she used way too much RTV. The bead of silicone dripped into the pan and eventually clogged up the screen on the oil pick up tube. Luckily there were no signs of engine sludge, crank play or worn bearings. I also removed the valve cover and was happy to find no sludge or worn cam lobes. I ordered a new pick up tube, fresh oil and a filter and this one should be running like a champ again!
