It's probably going to suck. There is no way they could top the original.

I will probably see it since I usually watch the horrible remakes...who knows it may be good

I think it's stupid, but it's not expected. They're remaking everything else, so why not?

Michael Bay already ruined part of my childhood with the Nightmare of Elm Street remake and my first thought when I saw this thread was that yet another part would be ruined. I think I will check it out also just to compare. All the trucks and stuff will probably be CG

I loved that movie. It was like Tremors with trucks. That reminds me, where is that Red Dawn remake?

I justed watched an officially official trailer for Red Dawn 2012 yesterday , but it appears to have been already yanked off youtube. It was a part of a little clip from Access Hollywod or somesuch show. I must say that it looks fairly legit and that I'm really looking forward to it (and I'm a huge fan of the original, so this is serious business to me) Release date is 11/21/2012.

Since the filming of movie had actually been finished quite some time ago, I believe in like 2010-ish, some of the actors/actresses in it have been in some huge movies (Hunger Games). Hopefully that helps draw a bigger crowd for Red Dawn - provided that it doesn't suck.
