Thread: Noob super beetle suspension question

  1. 07-31-2012 09:22 AM #1
I'm looking to get a beetle to stance out. I know what needs to be done to a beetle to do so but all I can find in new jersey are super beetles. Is there a diffrence in how to slam it or the suspension at all? I know what I want the end product to look like just want to make sure I can get it with a super.

You really can't. I made the same mistake of posting in here and asking the question. You'll get ripped a new ass. So I will do what was done to me, you need to read before posting questions like that. Use that search bar or google man. You can't slam a super like a standard you can go low but that's about it. Wheels will rub on fenders, etc. just so many problems. control arms will hit the ground and rip off, shock mounts in the back will drag and do the same as the control arms. The crankcase and transaxle will scrap the ground and get fu**** as well. Seems like i covered enough..

I didnt think he'd need to know that much. Those fee things are discouraging enough. Cutting out the tire well would've been the icing on the cake though.

Thanks ill be sure to steer clear of supers then. I knew there was something I wasn't going to like about them. Yet they are the only ones i can find.

I have one and lowered it, it looks fine. It just isn't scrapping the ground and there isn't any retarded amounts of camber. But to each his own.
