VAGCOM and Cameras

Ok, I may be a bit ahead of myself but I like to be organized... I'm expecting my new baby in Mid November.

From what I've read on here, a person with a VAGCOM can change a few "nice to have" settings on the TT RS. I would like to deactivate the wink, allow windows to open and close via remote, and I'm sure there are a few other settings that would be handy (too bad no one has figured out how to make the mirror drop during reverse!!). What else should one consider?

Are there any VAGCOM owners in the Upstate SC/Charlotte/Atlanta area that would be willing to hook me up when my car arrives?

Also, I've seen a few camera interface posts but nothing completely conclusive. Is there an OEM integration option for a rear view camera for US spec cars?

Wink disable and remote windows are the most popular changes. You might also want to change the settings on the Bose for cloth seats which I hear people like a lot more. I haven't changed mine yet, though, so I don't know.

As for the camera, did you not buy the Tech Package? The backup sensors in the Tech Package are really good and have never left me wishing for a camera. But if you didn't order the TP, then nevermind this comment

I also changed my 3-blink turn signals to 5-blink (the 3-blink was always over too quickly).

It supposedly changes the acoustics to compensate for the sound absorption of cloth seating vs. the reflective nature of leather seating. I haven't changed mine so I can't say for sure, but a lot of people swear it sounds better. *shrug*

That stupid wink is most annoying. And 104 in Philly - ability to put windows down before getting in, branding hand on stick and passing out would be terrific But I was wondering what others have done that perhaps I hadn't thought of.

Not a damn thing with w the chick-mobile....Doing a full detail on her Sat am- she'll be the most gorgeous redhead on the block. I have definitely been hanging out here with you guys too much...I'm now considering changing the exhaust. Bad influences you boys are!

I'd say a very close second... but only because she's younger and got 360hp - but you gotta admit there's probably nothing better than a redhead getting out a Volcano Red TTRS. And one who knows exactly what that car can do. (I get teased by guys that my hair color is Loreal for Audi Raging Red.) Amusingly, frequently on Saturday nights in the city there are notes left on the car, girls interested. Should find out which ones of you guys are single and in the Philadelphia area - share the winning that I wouldn't use. Somehow I don't think those girls will care, Red, Daytona, Black, Ibis...what do they know.
