I have up for trade/sale my 1987 Volkswagen Scirocco 16 Valve. I've had the car for since March of this year. It's been great so far but I think I may want something different. I know I'll probably regret getting rid of it. I'll be honest I would prefer to trade for something of the same vintage (86-91 GTI's, Jettas, Cabriolets). I purchased the car from a gentleman on VWVortex that purchased it from the original owner. Since having the car since March I have spent a lot of $$$ on the car and can provide receipts for all. The body has minimal rust in 2 areas, about the size of a quarter. No rust in the rear wheel wells. It does have a few small dents but nothin major. The sunroof has a blown gasket but otherwise works fine and doesnt' leak. The car has all the AC equipment but does not blow cold air. I have a can of R12 i can throw in with the car. All parts have less than 5000 miles on them. The car has a brand new set of Michelin tires on it. I spent about $450 at the machine shop, having head work done that included new exhaust valve guides, milling the head, hot tanking the head and insatlling new cams and springs. Below is a parts list of what has been replaced since March:
      Cylinder Head Gasket set
      Timing Belt
      Timing Belt Tensioner
      Timing Chain
      AC Compressor Belt
      Power Steering Belt
      Alternator Belt
      Water Pump Gasket
      Water Pump
      Auto Tech Sport Cams
      Techtonics tuning Cam gear
      Autotech Sport Tuned Valve Springs
      ARP Head Studs
      Coolant Level senor
      Ignition Lock Cylinder
      Throttle body gasket
      Washernozzle tubing
      Low Temp Thermostat
      Thermostat Gasket
      Clutch & Brake Pedal
      Upper radiator hose
      Lower radiator hose
      PCV Breather hose
      Miscellaneous hoses
      Bosch Fuel filter
      Mann Air filter
      Oil dipstick and funnel
      Coolant Temp sending
      Fuel Pump relay
      Rockville Ring & Bearing
      Full Boar Muffler
      Distributor
      Distributor Cap
      Distributor Rotor
      Dual Radiator Fans
      Radiator
      Battery
      Bosch Starter
      Techtonics Thermoswitch
      Thermoswitch Gasket
      Pioneer 4X6 Speakers(4)
      New Alternator
      New Bosch Coil
      New Spark plug wires
      Oil catch can
      Water Wetter
      AC Rceiver/Drier
      AC Expansion Valve
      Knock sensor
      Trunk latch seal
      Shift kit
      Oil Cooler
      Oil catch can

Right now the car seems to run a little warmer than what I was used to, I've trouble shooted the problem to be the oil cooler which I will have installed or I can trade/sell to new owner as is and have them install the part.

The paint on the car seems like it still shines. It just needs a buff and polish which I was planning on doing within the next few days. I initially planned on getting it repainted. For some reason i can't seems to post pictures on here. Please send me your email so I can email you picture.
      $3400 OBO
