I have up for trade/sale my 1987 Volkswagen Scirocco 16 Valve. I've had the car for since March of this year. It's been great so far but I think I may want something different. I know I'll probably regret getting rid of it. I'll be honest I would prefer to trade for something of the same vintage (86-91 GTI's, Jettas, Cabriolets). I purchased the car from a gentleman on VWVortex that purchased it from the original owner. Since having the car since March I have spent a lot of $$$ on the car and can provide receipts for all. The body has minimal rust in 2 areas, about the size of a quarter. No rust in the rear wheel wells. It does have a few small dents but nothin major. The sunroof has a blown gasket but otherwise works fine and doesnt' leak. The car has all the AC equipment but does not blow cold air. I have a can of R12 i can throw in with the car. All parts have less than 5000 miles on them. The car has a brand new set of Michelin tires on it. I spent about $450 at the machine shop, having head work done that included new exhaust valve guides, milling the head, hot tanking the head and insatlling new cams and springs. Below is a parts list of what has been replaced since March:
Cylinder Head Gasket set
Timing Belt

Right now the car seems to run a little warmer than what I was used to, I've trouble shooted the problem to be the oil cooler which I will have installed or I can trade/sell to new owner as is and have them install the part.
The paint on the car seems like it still shines. It just needs a buff and polish which I was planning on doing within the next few days. I initially planned on getting it repainted. For some reason i can't seems to post pictures on here. Please send me your email so I can email you picture. I can be reached at (301) 693-8077
