    For breakfast.

I don't mean in some Mexican/Spanish inspired dish or anything... No salsa or anything fancy.

    I mean.
Pan fried eggs soft, medium, hard, scrambled (whatever your preference) with a side of Refried Beans.

I did this a couple of months back to use up some leftover refried beans, and have basically been doing it 3-5 days a week for breakfast ever since.

3-4 eggs, over-medium with salt & pepper to taste.
1/4-1/2 cup or so of refried beans, straight from the can heated in the microwave.

Kind like this, but a LOT less beans.
    epitome

I need to follow this... "Not everything you eat has to, or should, taste really f*cking awesome. Sometimes you need to eat 'boring' food to stay healthy.

I do. Not on a regular basis, though, and rarely with canned beans. The girlfriend usually makes beans.

We keep a tub of lentils in the fridge that oftentimes makes a nice breakfast with a soft egg on top.
