Redirecting Cabi Fuel Lines: Questions

So, I am doing my 2nd 16v swap. First was into a a2 gti, and the other was in my 84 rabbit. Both times Fuel lines were on the passenger side of car so access to FPR was direct and easy. With the Cabi I face another scenario: End of fuel lines on Driver side of car. So my question is what is the best way to go about this swap so I don't waist time and money. Can I just extend the line to the FRR with extra fuel tubing or will that extra tubing effect the fuel pressure in the system? Also, should I just keep the Fuel filter on the drivers side where it currently is? Any qualified help appreciated. thanks guys

Past swaps I just used the existing 1.8l 8v fuel pump in the car.

Stock pump is fine so long as your FPR is up to snuff. Some say the 80psi will kill digi FPRs quicker than normal, no problems with me so far.

Gently bend your existing fuel lines over to the passenger side, cut to length and flare. Then just use standard 8mm fuel hose.

Edit: Stick whatever fuel filter you want in line. I'm using an $8 fram fuel filter from Wal-Mart.

You made no mention of the year of the Cabriolet; that matters. The fuel pumps are diffrent from CIS to DIGI cars and DIGI fuel pum will not provide enough fuel pressure for the 16v. I know this first hand from a past swap.

As for the fuel lines; that has been covered. They run up the passenger side of the car then make a turn at the firewall to det to the drivers side. Bend and cut, done.

Oh yea sorry, forgot to mention it is a 1985 CIS. nice, so i can use it then?

Runs my G60 with 68mm pulley just fine. 16v should be no problem. There is talk that the high pressure CIS pump can kill FPRs fast, but I've had no problems yet at about 17,000kms since the swap.
