The sales rep threw in free window tinting to sweeten the deal on the car. As a result, I didn't get the highest quality. The tint is Suntek. My goal was to do a legal tint without a huge difference in tint between the front and rear windows.

The install was 55% on the front, 35% on the back, and 18% on the rear window. All tints are darker than the installed percentage because of the factory tint. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out but I could've gone darker on the rear window.

Ordered some red trim on eBay and installed it today. I think it looks boss.

I like the trim you did around the lower grill.

That trim looks terrific. Makes me sad I don't have my GTI anymore.

Thanks! It took all of 10 mins. to install. Should be easy to remove if I decide to go that route.

I decided to embrace the red accents and go all out GTI.

Got the subs installed today. I installed an RCA line out converter behind the head unit, tapped the remote into the front 12v outlet, and ran all of my cables under the driver's side door trim. I'm still tweaking the EQ and gain settings for the right fit.

Good luck with your car, your list is very similar to my list.
I just finally got my first part which was the apr carbonio, I'd say try and get it as soon as possible way worth the money and adds an enjoyable sound and power difference.

Install was really easy, maybe 10 mins. tops. I think the charcoal film is a decent match to CSG.

That trim looks great, I think I might do it too now.
Was there any leftover or only enough for the one strip? If I do it, I might double over it to make it a bit thicker to match the upper trim more closely so I'd need to know if there's enough with one order or if I should order 2 sets.

There's almost as much left over as I put on my car. Doubling up will be tough because the trim is rounded on both edges but I do wish the trim were maybe an 1/8" wider...

Thanks for the response, I'll more than likely look into it then.
Double up would be worth a shot though, since you can always peel it back off if you didn't like it.

Super cheap mod ($10) but these add a really nice touch.
