This is a oem g60 strut mount and bearings seem fine and all the rubber is in great shape. it seems that the mount doesn't fit into the shock and I do have a noise coming from the car when i go the full lock or if I hit a bump mid turn sometimes. I have the tool and i can not get the nut any tighter and according to the bentley its put together right.

    Any ideas?

Maybe it wasn't installed properly or correctly. it should not have that kind of movement.

The strut mount looks too close to the upper spring perch to me.

Are you sure you have all of the right parts assembled on the strut shaft?

Did you forget the lower collar nut, or is the strut mount collapsed?
