The Wait is Over. My TDI has arrived

Picked up my 2013 TDI SE with sun and nav. Reflex and titan black. (copied and pasted from another board)

one quick pic of it before I left the dealer. I will be claybarring and detailing this weekend.

More pics then, unless I get bored and take some tomorrow after work.

Drove about 20 Miles home and avg'd 47MPG.

First drive impressions. got a little wind noise from the mirrors (it is very windy today and was gusting on the drive so I think that played a roll) also didn't have any music going. It cruises the highway so good though. Tires (Hankooks) are noisy and I was expecting that. Plans are in place to fix that in somewhat short time. I also had trouble adjusting my mirrors. can you not do that while driving?

Getting tired of waiting myself I preordered mine back in early April. I just heard from my dealer that my order just got pushed back until September was this the case with you???

I had been looking for about a month and finally decided to put a deposit down on one that was incoming. They never told me any hard dates. I put the deposit down on 7/23 and Monday I was bugging the dealer to give me some hard dates so I could at least get an idea and he called me yesterday morning and said the truck just pulled up with my car. I'm not sure when the actual build date of the car was I can try to look. Is that in the door jam?

So yeah My wait was pretty short! I'm glad becasue I was starting to lose my patience lol

I ordered a 2012 in april. It never got built, and I just spoke to my dealership yesterday who said the ETA on my 2013 is 8/13--Red TDI SEL Premium... even better is i'm paying 1500 UNDER the 2012 invoice :-)

Avg'd 52MPG's on my 47 Mile commute to work this morning. Awesome. On pace to break 800 Miles on my first tank of gas!

Was it also under invoice when you try to buy the 2012? or its part of the bonus since they messed up your order?

it was always 1500 under invoice. the 2012 invoice. Since the 2013 invoice is higher (i think) it's actually even further under the 2013 invoice.. but I dont know for sure what the 2013 invoice is...
