Thread: OIL LEAK HELP!! 2001 audi S4

    im leaking some oil from inbetween the engine and trans at the bottom of the car. only a few drops over night. where is it coming from if anyone has had a similar problem?! thanks!

    Could be your Rear main seal behind your clutch.

    Check the valve cover gaskets, cam seals and cam plugs. All three are known to leak.

    cam seals would be in the front of the motor, cam plugs could be a possibility but (drivers side) would land on the manifold and burn off as he drove therefore it would smoke and (passenger side) would also be smoking. I dont think thats it but definitely check all of those they are very common to leak and cause future problems as well as the valve cover gaskets
