just bought this jack pad adapter kit from ECS Tuning and wanted to see if anyone here has been using it? I have a jack at home, but i am always having a hard time finding a place where to put it under the car. This kit seems to fix that, but wondering if its safe and all that.

It's really not made for jacks. They are made for lifts.

The points which those pads go into, they are not designed to support the majority of the weight at a time. This is why VW put in jack locations which are reinforced for the load

sorry, hadn't had my coffee yet this morning. it is for a lift, and it would be for one side at a time, mostly for rotating wheels or brake service.

Where are the appropriate jack locations for you to lift the car up and put stands on it? You're required to get a special puck adapter to jack it?

I know my porsche required a special locking puck adapter to jack it, but I haven't looked to see where the appropriate jacking points and jack stand points are. Can anyone take some pictures and post where these are?

Jack points are indicated on the side skirts by downward pointing triangles. They are right by the wheels. I have the Harbor Freight jack and i don;t have any special adapter for it. It may not be ideal but it works just fine

Went with the pure adapter instead. Its not exaclty the same beast, but it is pretty darn slick
