  1. 08-01-2012 04:04 PM #1
Great to see the final livery and even better, seeing the Viper racing this weekend at Mid-Ohio:
Check out coverage on ALMS.com this weekend where there will be live in-car cameras streaming as well as ABC on Saturday at 2 PM.

There was a white one (not the R) cruising Woodward last weekend.

I likes me some Corvette, but this new Viper is just all kinds of mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Sadly, at least for me, the prototypes are not the main attraction in the ALMS. Heck, even the P2 field is thin. And the LMPC and GTC? Don't care much for spec racing.

But the GT field is where it's at.

I like how GT cars now sport some newer racing wheels that's outside of your norm BBS/OZ traditional looking stuff. The BMW were running some cool looking wheels last year at Le Mans...

Interesting to see how competitive the Viper will be this year. Also good to see Tommy Kendall back in a racecar...

I'm glad that Ford isn't trying to permanently continue the GT (because I like that it is a rare beast), but it needs something in the series, too. Big 3 gotsta to have full representation!

The problem with prototype racing is there is always going to be some manufacturers that have a great package and some that have a ****ty package, and it just turns into boring racing with one team out at the front and the race ends with a 30 second gap to the next team... See: MotoGP.

Yes, instead of the vette's crashing into everyone now they can crash into each other....wonder if they'll saturate the field to win like the vette's did.

ALMS circa 2007-2008 and Le Mans 2007-2011 are example how good racing car be with factory LMPs though....

    Huh?

Team Corvette has fielded 2 cars since the program began last decade as far as I know.

Oh yeah? Well, um, watch, Corvette is going to change classes again to compete with another car I like, and um, do something bad, and like win, and cheat, and stuff.

    Rabble, rabble.
