I like American Eagle shorts. They have three lengths available, the longer length might be what you're looking for. They're $35.
OK, I've never had so much trouble finding clothes that fit me as I have in the past couple years. I think part of the problem is that I got in shape a little bit and down from a 36 to 32 inch waist. What I've realized is that the smaller the waistline, the shorter the legs of the shorts tend to be. I normally wear 34" inseam pants, so I don't exactly have short legs for my waist size. I can't stand wearing shorts that make me feel like I'm an extra in Magnum, P.I. and I don't want to have to go to the trendy stores in the mall just to get shorts that reach my knees.
I feel like it's the whole skinny jeans thing. Skinny jeans came out because of rising commodity prices; the manufacturers still need to sell jeans but they wanted to cut costs. Skinny jeans use less material so they cost less and best of all, they called it a trend and now they can charge more for something that costs less. Are shorts getting shorter again for the same reason they are trying to push skinny jeans?
Help a poor family man out; who's got long shorts and doesn't charge a bundle for them?
kohl's. They have a huge selection of different brands. They average around 20-30 bucks depending on the brand. Also, they have a HUGE coupon gimmick so sign up for their emails on their site. They are constantly doing 'sales'.
