VW Offers 10 year, 160,000KM warranty on DSG Gearboxes

VW’s marketing big hitters in the Chinese market are its TSI engine range, and also its DSG gearboxes. The DSG gearboxes are supposed to work in sweet harmony with the TSI engines to bring the best fuel economy and best performance, many end users were happy with what they received but others reported strange knocking sounds, vibrations, and a lack of power from their DSG units.

The VW-DSG issue has been bubbling away in Chinese media publications for a number of months now, with the threat of it bubbling over into a very real issue for VW they have now announced that all six and seven speed DSG units will now be given ten year/160,000km warranties.

Must be nice they should do that over here. I think we only have 120,000km warranty
