1996 golf vr6 shuddering and jerking

Hi guys

I need your urgent help. It all started this morning when I pulled out of the drive way and on my way to work. The car started to jerk and while driving started to shudder and jerk. I would change a gear then it would feel like she is off and then all of a sudden just shoot off.

please guys I would really aprreciate it if you vr6 oaks can help me out as I'm lost and really cheesed of with her.
