Installed all the other switches yesterday. Was a quick 30 minute job, door panels didn't even have to come off!

Was wondering if anyone has a part number for a chrome trimmed hatch release button that works for the 2010--> JSW?

I see some on ebay and ECS sells one but its listed as only fitting cars with the side by side hatch and gas release buttons.

    Anyone tried this?

I think ECS has both of those. But thanks for the info now I have something quick and easy to add to the car.

I ordered this one up for my 2011 Sportwagen.

It doesn't fit unfortunately. Plug is different (my original one is on the left below).

Also, the clips are in slightly different spots. I was thinking I'd take both apart and use the chrome tipped portion to swap over but they are different enough that it wouldn't work.

Anyone know of an OEM one that will fit the 2010-up Sportwagens?

That is very dumb, you would think that this would be doable. Why would they give you all of these chrome trimmed switches and not have a chrome option for the lower one is just a plain fail on VW.
