i currently have apioneer deh-p6900ub head unit connected to an alpine mrp-f450 4 channel amp (70rms x 4 @ 4ohm) powering polk audio db651s 6.5" speakers in all 4 doors. i like my music loud, and recently noticed one of the rear door speakers is done. ive been looking around on cructhfields website and came across the rockford fosgate pps4-6 speakers. they are a midrange speaker only, and I would require a tweeter to get the highs out of my system. now heres where it all begins:

Replace all 4 speakers with the rockfords, get 2 sets of tweeters and use the amps 4 channels for each rockford, and power the tweeters off the head unit?

Use 2 channels out of 4, and run the rockfords in parallel (100rms x 2 at 2ohm) and power the tweeters off of the remaining two channels?

keep in mind, i have a 12" apline type r with a class d mono amp in the back for all my lows. Im just looking for advice on how to run the rockfords/tweeters using what i have or any other suggestions for that matter. thanks

    the amp:

those speakers do go loud! but i don't like the way they sound, have you ever heard PA system speakers? that's essentially what they are. as far as setting up your amplifier, i would keep it as is because running a active setup is not an easy task, it takes a lot of time and more time to properly adjust gains and not to mention that it would be best to run an external crossover to have more adaptability. If you dont properly adjust xover gains you will go through tweeters every other day, ask me how i know , but the time and effort running active will sound better but obviously with quality components! i would reccomend to buy a set of new quality components for front stage and install working ones in the rear Just an opinion

Checked the link, and seems like good, though I don't like the music is too loud.
